June 1, 1996: Kelly Sullivan, a Fort Worth transplant, and his wife, Mary Claire, a TCU graduate, established Fort Worth's first standalone pet-sitting service, Abbey's Pet & House Sitting.
Why Abbey's? Well, Kelly now admits it was to make sure that his business appeared first in the Yellow Pages (A) - Remember those?
In 1996, though, it was his beloved dog, Abbey.
1996-2006: Kelly & Mary Claire saw that Fort Worth had a need - pet & house sitting that was provided by professional sitters - not just your neighbor or cousin!
They worked quickly to assemble a professional team and ensure that they were trained properly.
1996-2005: Word spread around Fort Worth and Abbey's Pet & House Sitting quickly became the talk of the - neighborhood papers! Remember those?
2006: With Abbey's growing rapidly and looking to expand, Kelly and Mary Claire noticed another problem to be solved.
Fort Worth is a big city! A-lot of people work 9-5 and don't have time to give their dogs daily walks.
So, Kelly and Mary Claire founded Midday Mutts, a midday dog-walking service.
2006: We were honored as an 'Emerging Family Business Finalist' at the Fort Worth Business Press's PlainsCapital Family Business Awards.
2008: Looking to become Fort Worth's one-stop shop for convenient petcare services, Kelly and Mary Claire's last addition was Whisker Washer's Mobile Grooming!
2008-2013: Whisker Washer's had the honor of being selected by the Fort Worth Zoo to groom their Anatolian Shepherd, Zeke!
2016: After two decades of running as three separate services, Kelly and Mary Claire decided it was time to come under one umbrella - Your Pet Staff, LLC.
Fort Worth's premire pet sitting, midday dog-walking, and mobile grooming provider was now under one roof.

1996-2025: Your Pet Staff participated in local community events, such as sponsoring the opening ZBonz Dog Park & Barktober Fest, and dozens of FWISD school events.
Through a commitment to deliverign excellent service, was named to Fort Worth Magazine's prestigious "Best Of" over fifteen times!
2026: It is safe to say that Your Pet Staff is a entrenched Fort Worth institution. As we celebrates over 30 years of business, we felt it appropriate to update our logo!
And, of course, Mary Claire insisted we used TCU purple.
