Mobile Grooming Policies

Appointment Times:
We never give an exact time of arrival. Arrival times are generally a span of one hour. For example: If we give you an arrival time of between 9 and 10 am, our groomer will arrive sometime within that hour window. Every groom is different and we won’t rush any groom to make an exact appointment time. We must also allow for unforeseen events such as traffic accidents, road construction, bad weather, etc.

Appointment Cancellations:

For cancellations that are Less Than 72 Hours but More Than 48 Hours before your scheduled appointment, there will be a $60 cancellation fee. For cancellations that are 48 Hours or Less before your scheduled appointment, you will be charged the FULL cost of grooming, minus the trip fee.

Appointment No-Show: If our groomer arrives during the allotted window of time, no one is home, and access arrangements have not been made prior, the client will be charged the ENTIRE AMOUNT of the scheduled service.

Appointment Service Changes AFTER Arrival: Our Daily Routes are created to accommodate the number dogs, breed of dogs, and revenue. So, if we arrive for service and your dog is not available to groom or you have multiple pets and you decide not to have one of them groomed after we arrive, YOU will still be responsible for payment of the services that were scheduled. Likewise, we cannot add an additional dog when we arrive at your home for the same reasons given above regarding scheduling

Fleas and Clean-Up:
We ask that you notify us if your pet has fleas or ticks. Our Flea Baths are $20/pet. In addition, there is a $30 Clean-Up Fee to treat the trailer and ensure it is free of fleas or ticks for the next client.

Aggressive Pet:
There are times when we encounter a pet that just isn't willing to be our friend, or exhibits extreme behaviors such as struggling, biting, urination, or defecation. When this happens, rather than risk injury to either the pet or the groomer, the groom will be stopped and the client will be notified. If this happens, the client is responsible for the Full Fee of the services scheduled.

De-Matting:
De-matting is a stressful procedure for dogs and is only performed when matting is at a minimum. Severely matted dogs will be recommended for shave-down upon client approval.

Alternative Service Recommendations:

The groomer will perform all requested grooming services unless they feel that they or the pet could get hurt, or that the pet will get too stressed from the procedure. Occasionally, some procedures such as cutting nails are just too stressful for some of our furry friends and are best left to a veterinarian.

Other IMPORTANT Grooming Considerations: We make every effort to keep your pet safe and free of stress or injury. However, pets can be unpredictable and uncooperative during the grooming process. Groomers use very sharp scissors and clippers to do their job and there is a chance your pet can be nicked. Another possibility is clipper burn which may not appear until several hours after the completion of the grooming process making it impossible for the groomer to detect. Additionally, Your Pet Staff, LLC shall not be responsible for conditions uncovered on a badly matted or otherwise neglected coat including, but not limited to: itchiness, skin redness, or self-inflicted irritation/abrasions from excessive external rubbing.
